Hardware synth guru, 303 modder, sound engineer and allround cool dude Daan Doeleman graces NYH with a selection of rubbery, funky, minimal 303/101 cuts. These are typical late night Nimma jams that could easily stretch out over hours on a freetek soundsystem, but they're condensed here into a 5/6 minute form. Live tweaking and rhythm edits, slightly adjusting volumes as you record, and the occasional effect glitch, it's all part of this guy's arsenal of real, human interaction with machine funk.

Even though some of the melodies and basslines are very straightforward and minimal, the accents give a tremendous swing to every bar. You can hear Doeleman place accents while the track evolves and it keeps you on your toes with a swing that one would expect from Detroit's top producers. This is such a solid and great EP, I'm proud to be able to share this with you via our tiny label. Check it out if you are into music, period.
