Planctophob has been churning out quality music the last couple of years via a bunch of cool labels like Plattenbau, Concrete and his own Plankton Repellent. We are more than happy to welcome this talented Russian producer to NYH as well. This EP is bursting with fresh ideas. It's a dry sounding, almost minimal approach to techno with strange little experiments in every twist and turn.

Experimentation is the only way forward according to Planctophob, and although I do enjoy the odd retro futuristic throwback myself, I have to agree wholeheartedly. This is deep, looks for the angles, but hits hard in all the right places. From hard staccato basslines to weird percussive sounds, Planctophob finds ways to keep his tracks interesting and makes them work for both a home listening session in the backyard, to the Globus room of Tresor. Dive deep!
