The strigil is a tool for the cleansing of the body by scraping off dirt, perspiration, and oil that were applied before bathing in Ancient Greek and Roman cultures. This Erronous Zone EP for New York Haunted, his second, seems perfectly titled. Raw and dirty tracks, mixed with ease and power and with a naive touch that most resembles punk. Techno to its very core. Scraping off all balast and excess to reveal a barren skeleton of rhythm and minimal melodies.
