TEKHNOPRANA is the alias of Brazilian producer and guitar player Marcel Rocha. Marcel actually has a doctorate in music and has produced music for more than thirty years. TEKHNOPRANA is the laboratory where Rocha experiments, combines, designs, performs, curates sounds that, through technology, are translated into musical pieces. His passion for 90’s IDM, 80’s post punk, Brazilian folklore, space music, acousmatic music and contemporary experimental electronic music is always present, but there's a steady dose of industrial for good measure as well.

This is one of those great, eclectic collections of tracks that will keep you on your toes throughout listening. Sometimes it's totally unclear what you are hearing and the discovery of some found sound in here really adds to the experimental sci-fi sound sets being used. TEKHNOPRANA is a real promise for the future, which is kind of odd to say about someone who has been working in music over 30 years. Let's hope Marcel adds another 30!
