After a couple of phenomenal releases of deep, dub-influenced minimalism on Chinabot, Unknown Precept and Hard Return, King Rambo Sound graces New York Haunted with 4 tracks that combine Scorn's low end theory with intricate rhythmic programming and some hard hitting drums. King Rambo Sound aka Atsushi Akama is a member of the far-off Aoba Nu Noise DJs collective back in Japan. His repetitive, doomy tracks aim to kill subwoofers and keep your head nodding like it's going to fall off tomorrow. It's like that post-dubstep style you craved for in 2006 but couldn't find. It took about 15 years longer for this to actually be realized.

I'm very happy to be able to bring this to NYH, as the roster is broadening with adjacent styles that show you what's outside the stale, current wave of dark techno and trance synth driven powertechno. There are still roads to discover in 2021, there are still unknown regions in electronic music and there still is a lot of talent out there that craft the music to their own image. The truly awesome music King Rambo Sound is sharing with us right now is proof of that and will def give you some hope for the future. Expect this artist to be snagged up by Hyperbud or Rarp Wecords soon. Music for speaker huggers and the unafraid. Git it!
