One of the things I like best about NYH is the total randomness (or so it seems) of the demos we get sent. If you would ask me: 'Hey we do a slowed down breakbeats sorta thing with hazy and scary ambient as well, can I sent you something', I'll probably say no. So it's extremely awesome to DO get that demo and to fall in love with the tracks, the sound and the very fibre and texture of Blank Ocean.

A lot of different music gets branded 'hypnotic', and let's be honest, mostly its just fancy talk for boring. Blank Ocean's screwed & chopped rhythms, topped with intricate sound textures and percussive stabs just really suck you in though. Maybe it's the prolonged lockdown emo talking, or maybe it's just me being me, but I really think these tracks are gorgeous and I'm so very happy to share these with you!
