L/F/D/M is the alias of London-based acid purveyor Richard Smith (also half of Bronze Teeth), who's one of those producers that release a lot of really great records but is impossible to find any info on. His music swaggers and stumbles between hardcore EBM and slow, brooding acidy techno with the occasional lighter note or even, dare I say uplifting, melody. Thank god those moments are scarce on his first outing on your favorite underground artists' favorite underground label, NYH.

'Cinema Snakes' is knee deep in pushy machine music that works in a car driving home from work or in a club, after work. It might also work to get large crowds riled up and storm government buildings, but you'd have to try that and find out. Dirty synths that scrape the top layer of your teeth, exposing your roots to... well.. life. Propelled by steady pulses of a drum machine being pushed into the red and vintage rhythmic elements. Top notch stuff on a cassette tape and digital bits. But be smart for once in your life and buy this on tape before you'll regret it. I know you better that you know yourself.
